It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lou, surrounded by her loving family, on October 8, 2016 at 79 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Don (2012). Cherished mother of Joey & his wife Jacqueline, Nicole, and David & his wife Nicole. Adored mémé of Owen and Lucas. Predeceased by her parents Louis & Maria Laforet. Loving sister of the late Marie Louise & Archille Pouget, the late Paul & Doreen Laforet, the late Vincent Laforet, the late François & Jackie Laforet, Leo & Eileen Laforet, Dianna & Ken Stewart, and the late Jean-Louis & Irene Laforet. Survived by her brother-in-law Gordon & his wife Shirley LaPointe. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Lucille was a registered nurse for 45 years and worked for 3 years in the nursery at Hotel-Dieu Hospital after graduating in May of 1959. Afterwards, she was part of a small group of nurses who opened the first ICU in May of 1963. After having children, she worked for 25 years and retired from Villa Maria Home for the Aged in October of 2003. She took great joy in spending time with her family, especially her 2 grandsons.

LaSalle, 519-969-5841 On Thursday, family and friends are invited to meet at Sacred Heart Church, 219 Sacred Heart Drive (LaSalle) after 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
