Lucille Goulard (nee Rochon)

Passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 at  69 years of age.  Beloved wife of Roger for 26 years.  Loving mother to Paul Conte and wife Cindy and her grandchildren Zachary, Maya and Lucas and her son Marc Conte and wife Lorri, predeceased by her step son Steven Goulard (1989).  Roger would like to thank Paul (MD) and Marc (RN) and all the wonderful doctors at Hotel Dieu for saving Lucille’s life in May 2014 allowing him to spend more valuable time with their mother Lucille. Predeceased by her parents Gerard Rochon and Theresa Thelland, survived by her step father Andre and wife (Irene). Predeceased by grandparents Emile and Rose Reimneitz and Arthur and Amelia Rochon. Dear sister to Lillian Young and husband Hubert, Michael Rochon and Francois Seguin, Diane Gelmini and husband Walter, the late Alfred (Phooey) Rochon (Gail), the late Lorraine Mailloux and late husband Gary.

Lucille was a former employee at the CIBC in Amherstburg. An original member of Down River Playhouse (Cabaret), also Shore Line Entertainers and one of the original members of Amherstburg’s Red Hat Society and an active member of St. Andrews Church.  Over the years of involvement at the church Lucille enjoyed being a member of the choir, an Elder and Clerk of Session and will be fondly remembered as St. Andrews Soup Angel. In Amherstburg she was known affectionately as the Soup Lady. She will be missed by her sister from another mother of 40 years Joan Caba and husband Gary of Amherstburg. Special thanks to Dr. Misra, Dr. Gabba, Dr. Spiers, Dr. Brkovich and Dr. Tim O’ Callahan and staff; especially Tammy and Jamie.  A special thanks and appreciation to Peter and Sara for your love and guidance in planning Lucille’s funeral.  Thank You EMS for looking after Lucille’s needs time after time.  Lucille will be missed by family and friends especially her long-time friend Graeme Hutchinson. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Amherstburg. Cremation has taken place.  Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday July 22, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 1:00 pm at Families First Funeral Home 585 Sandwich St. S. Amherstburg, Ontario (519-969-5841).
